The CATCH-IT II Water Table is an amazing finishing machine that is designed to recover fine gold. Processing is quick and recovery efficiency is high. It comes in a rugged plastic tote that will protect the table from damage when in transit or storage. Included in the tote is the water table, a tailings bin, a 110 VAC submersible mini-pump, one small brush and instruction sheet.
The aluminum table has a unique green surface that attracts gold. Just sprinkle clean gold concentrates onto the water covered table. The flowing water stratifies the material, allowing the gold to separate and stick to the green surface while the blond and black sands float away. The water flows in parallel layers with no disruption between layers which is called laminar flow. This is different to flow that undergoes irregular fluctuations or mixing called turbulent flow. This type of flow is seen in sluice boxes with riffles. The laminar flow is the result of two factors, a flow/pressure equalizer element and a discharge slot that releases the water in a smooth sheet.
All that is left to do is to brush the gold to one spot and snuffer it up! NOTE: Most of the magnetic sands should be removed from the concentrates prior to using the CATCH-IT II. This simple operation will speed up the process and improve gold recovery.
