The Cibola (pronounced see-bow-lah) combines H.O.T. circuitry (High Output Technology) with turn-on-and-go simplicity. It is designed for the treasure hunter that does not want to bother with too many controls. The Cibola is named after 1 of the fabled 7 cities of gold sought by the conquistadors and will simplify your own search for treasures today!
High Output Technology (H.O.T. Technology) combines the increased transmitted signal and the high gain amplification of the return signal to get the best depth and sensitivity out of lightweight, compact detectors. When a detector becomes chirpy, the most common reason is the noise to signal ratio. Signal refers to the information being passed through the circuitry and noise is any type of other interference. As the signal is amplified, the noise gets amplified as well. Tesoro uses high tolerance components and designs them into the circuit to create a lower noise to signal ratio.
The Cibola's main search mode is an ED 180 Silent Search discriminate, with a threshold-based All Metal mode that is accessed by the Push Button Pinpoint. The ease of use for the Cibola makes it the perfect detector for both the metal detecting novice as well as the treasure hunter that has been around for a while.
