The 2020 GPAA Gold & Treasure Show circuit is planned to be better than ever this year! With $110,000 in prizes, several dozen vendors demonstrating equipment, informative 2020 Gold and Treasure Show Scheduleseminars, and 100 feet of gold panning troughs salted with real gold (keep all you find!), you won’t want to miss bringing the family to a weekend show sponsored by Gold Prospectors Association of Amercia. Eleven shows are to be held across the country in 2020.

Saturday show hours 10 am - 5 pm and Sundays 10 am - 4 pm in these cities:

    •    Pomona, CA:  February 15-16
    •    Albuquerque, NM:  February 29-March 1
    •    Phoenix, AZ:  March 7-8
    •    Vancouver, WA:  March 21-22  CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19

    •    Butte, MT:  April 4-5
    •    Concord, NC:  April 25-26

Gold Prospectors Association of America (GPAA) has announced its Fall 2016 schedule of Gold & Treasure Shows for Nashville, Dayton, and Concord! Whether you’re a newbie prospector or detectorist, or have been mining Gold & Treasure Show and metal detecting for years, these three shows offer a fun opportunity to rub elbows with some of the best in the business. In addition to browsing the show floor to find the latest and greatest equipment and supplies, meet Kevin Hoagland, host of Gold Trails.

Children 12 and under are FREE, so be sure to bring the kids and the whole family can pan for gold together—and keep all the gold you find! Adult pre-sale admission purchased online is $5 until the Friday before each show, or $10 at the door. Active military members and  veterans with ID are FREE. Saturday shows run 10 am - 5 pm and Sunday 10 am - 4 pm.

Thousands of dollars in door prizes are given away each day—detectors, pans, sluice boxes, you name it! All you have to do is show up and you could be leaving with a brand new piece of top of the line prospecting equipment. Mark your calendars for:

Gold Prospecting and Mining Summit April 16-17 in Placerville, CA: The Two-Day Summit features 20,000 square feet packed with the latest in mining and prospecting equipment & expert instruction from the writers and staff of ICMJ's Prospecting and Mining Journal. Learn everything from gold panning, basic prospecting and metal detecting, up to advanced gold recovery and small operations. On Sunday, kids can participate in a FREE scavenger hunt to earn prizes. In addition to the Summit, two extra days of hands-on training are available to subscribers of ICMJ's Prospecting and Mining Journal. Hands-on classes fill up FAST, so register early!

On April 15 a full placer operation will be up and running on a private mining property near Iowa HIll, approximately 2 hours northeast of Placerville, so attendees can see first-hand how the process works for only $20. You will have the opportunity to pan, power sluice (highbank) and metal detect for gold.

April 18 features an introduction to underground (lode) mining class located on private mining property near Foresthill, approximately 1.5 hours northeast of Placerville. This $35 class will focus on mining methods, explosives, hardrock mining (ore body blocking, assays, mill flow), timbering, exploration, types of gold deposits and processing.
