GOLD BUDDY drywashers recover gold using three processes at the same time: Electrostatic concentration occurs because the high-velocity air flowing through the unit creates an electrical charge which attracts and holds gold. The same airflow holds the material in suspension allowing the heavier materials to sink under the riffles where it is caught. The Uni-bearing oscillating vibrator shakes the material at the same time, further helping the values to sink.
The hopper and recovery box are made of aircraft grade aluminum, and the hopper has an adjustable flow gate to meter the material evenly. The recovery box has a removable riffle for easy cleanup.

NOTE: The cloth that comes in the bottom of the Gold Buddy recovery box is a muslin type material and can be found in a variety of colors at Wal-Mart and similar discount stores, should it ever become worn out from use and you need to replace it. You might also try light-weight indoor/outdoor carpeting (get free scraps from carpet stores), but the muslin material works the best.
FIELD TEST of the ORIGINAL GOLD BUDDY STALLION DRYWASHER
by Gary Sturgill, Gold Prospectors Association of America (GPAA)
(original Stallion that came with a Hurricane blower prior to 2015)
The following field test appeared on pages 14-15 of the Nov/Dec 2012 issue of Gold Prospectors magazine:
The Route 66 Gold Miners, a local GPAA chapter based in Brea, California recently invited me to come out with them to one of their claims to do some prospecting. I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to try out the new Gold Buddy Stallion Drywasher sent to us from Jobe Wholesale. GPAA Director or Operations Dominic Ricci came along to help me feed the Stallion along with his son, Tristan and my photographer, Belena, who also happens to be my wife.
The Stallion is a big unit that can handle as much as you can throw at it. We left for Barstow, CA in the wee hours of the morning so we could be there at the crack of dawn to avoid the heat. After unloading our prospecting gear, we found a place to set up the Gold Buddy Stallion and got to work. We picked a small ravine and started digging; it was only about 9 inches down to the crumbling bedrock. We classified our material down to 1/8 inch and got ready to start feeding the Stallion.
We fired up the Honda-powered blower. It started on the second pull after we filling it with oil and fuel. The motor comes with a warranty from Honda for this application. We started to feed the dirt into the hopper; it will hold about 7 gallons of material at once and will process about 5 gallons in less than 5 minutes. I do recommend classifying your material to 1/8 inch so you will get a steady and even feed from the hopper without a larger piece of material plugging the hole.
While Ricci was feeding the machine, I started popping the bedrock. I used a vacuum to suck up even more promising paydirt. We ran pretty much non-stop for about 3 hours and took a break for a barbecue in the shade of the van. After lunch, we ran a bit more material and then did a cleanup as the temperature was getting close to triple digits. We took our concentrates down to the panning tubs the chapter had set up and panned them down to just a bit of black sand. A golden smile formed across the top of the pan!
I found the Jobe brand Hurricane Blower to be one of the best; it will run the Stallion at just over an idle, saving you on fuel. You can put a Y in the hose and actually run a second drywasher at the same time by bumping up the idle just a bit.
The Gold Buddy Stallion Drywasher breaks down for transit. You don't need a lot of room in your vehicle; it fit in the back of our Kia Soul with all the rest of my prospecting equipment no problem. This is a sturdy, well-built unit and will give you many years of dependable service. I can't wait to get out this winter and run some more dirt through it to add some more gold to my poke.
